SHORT NOTES ON AMAZING ANIMALS

KOMODO DRAGAON :–

1) Komodo dragons are the world’s largest lizards. They can weigh more than an adult human!
2) They only live on a few islands in Indonesia.
3) Long claws and sharp teeth help it catch food.
4) This lizard uses its forked tongue to ‘sniff’ for food.
5) Sometimes this lizard fight each other.

A SEA OTTER :– 

1) Sea otters eats clams, crabs, snails & octopuses.

2) Sea otter lives in a ocean. Their thick fur keeps them warm and dry.

3) Although Sea otter stay close to the shore, they can live their whole lives without ever living the water!

4) A sea otter baths many times in a day to keep its fur clean. They twists turns and rolls to rinse the fur.

5) A sea otter uses its mouth, paws and claws to rub, scrub and comb the fur. It bends its body to clean all over body. 

6) Sea otters float on their backs to eat. They use their bellies like a table!

7) The sea otter even spin while it is eating to clean food from its belly. 

MOUNTAIN GOAT :– 

1) Mountain goats live on cliffs high in the mountains of North America.

2) Male mountain goats are called billies. Females are called nannies. The babies are called kids.

3) The mountain goat climbs up a cliff. The cliff becomes steep. Soon the goat clings to a ledge that is only as wide as your thumb.

4) The mountain goats have large squishy footpads. Their feet work like awesome. They grip rocks and leap from ledge to ledge.

5) A baby mountain goat can also climb. It follows its mother wherever she climbs.
